In 1997, FILA, following an internationalization strategy, opens the foreign subsidiary: PAPELERIA MEDITERRANEA SL, which was renamed FILA HISPANIA, SL and nowadays is known as FILA IBERIA, SL.

The origins of F.I.L.A. Fabbrica Italiana Lapis ed Affini date back to 1920.
